Dance, Dance, Dance - Lykki Li

Full of ups and downs, this week has been full of surprises.  I've been trying to hold my composure as obstacles occur but now all things are piling up at once!  Looking forward to some great projects in the upcoming weeks that I hope to update you all about.  I took a needed break to recollect some of my inspiration to keep me going and perhaps theyll inspire you too.

More Than A Woman | Black and White Basics

Back to Basics.

Yesterday I was with a fever of over 100 degrees and I couldn't keep anything down.  For the fear of embarrassment, I won't describe the ins and outs of the horrific torture I endured.  I must of eaten something bad, but I'm not sure what... I just woke up and all of a sudden BAM!

Luckily I'm alright now and fixed my electronic devices so that I can continue to engorge your brains with my posts :)  Such a beautiful day today to remind me that the weather matches the season. However, while everyone is looking for colors and pastels this season, I find myself embracing the black and whites again for some reason.  So while everyone is wearing colors, will I find myself in solid simplicities?

A Little Light - The Airplanes

I don't know what happened this morning, but I feel like I rolled over and just about died... in a good sense.  The inspiration is overflowing and I feel ignited. I suspect that it's probably because of the hint of spring weather today.  I actually didn't need to wear my overly puffed coat that resembles a helium inflated marshmallow enemy from Ghost Busters, the movie. 

Determination has prevailed and some problems were fixed or at least thought of in a new perspective. What I have to look forward to?  Four birthdays this weekend but possibly only attending two, resulting in August Archival Inspirations.

 

 

 

 

 

Pains Me, oh

Sorry guys I know ive been away for some time..

I want to wish all those who experienced Hurricane Sandy and its devastation many blessings, courage, faith, and resilience to overcome whatever struggles they may have to deal with. My heart goes out to all those inflicted with loss and pain. During this time let's join our hearts together in efforts to offer support and encouragement in this time of need. Let love prevail.

Sometimes you need that extra push when things aren't looking the way you want them to or maybe it's one of those days/weeks where everything goes wrong...

Or anything that really keeps you going helps. This week has been one of those weeks for me and what a great way to pull it all together with this song...



It doesn't have to be the ones who are near, but in fact the ones who are there that help you out when you need it most. Sometimes it's just yourself that you need without even knowing it. Find inspiration where you feel like flying away and you'll go to great heights!

My music inspiration for today. Gotta love Saturdays!!! This song even works well in acoustic versions :) This song came on multiple times the other day when I was switching from various stations, which made it seem like it was playing back to back. I think it came at an opportune moment for me and reminded me of a few things. It's a great song to get ready to and mix up ur wardrobe :)

Sunday Strut

BRAD SUCKS, although not really :)

Lazy hazy Sunday continues to haunt me. It's a great sunny day and all I can think about is the need to bask by the water in the bright sun, while listening to a great band called BRAD SUCKS. Feeling a little retro, a little rock, a little smooth and a ton of goody goody gum drops! So if you have a chance, you gotta check them out. They kind of remind me of the feel I get when listening to the Winter Passing soundtrack, although much happier and upbeat. Let's not forget about that grungy voice that sounds like it requires no effort to sing either...

Asian Fever!!

Girls in the DMV area are all hyped up for the appearance of Park Jaebeom aka Jay Park, this Friday. The well-known singer already has many friends of mine already prearranging after-parties and planning their agenda for the entire day in order to get their personal fix of KPOP.

When I think of Jay Park, he triggers my insatiable bubbly personality through his link with Wooyoung. A member of 2pm, Wooyoung doesn't hesitate to be modest, down to earth, humorous, and for some reason has the qualities of turning me into a pubescent teenager giggling for some more dance moves. It's pathetic. If you can dance, you've definitely got my attention!

Ultimately, if Wooyoung was a bit older, his look would definitely resemble T.O.P..... perfection. A rapper and not bad of a dancer, his style and charm already makes him eye candy for many women. Too bad he knows it and flaunts it with his deep stares and side glances. There will be no stopping him as already his popularity through Big Bang is noticed throughout the world.

What i'm listening to right now: Demons by Fenech-Soler

Why : because I just woke from passing out from the lack of sleep and had to eat ribs in order to wake myself up enough to move myself from the couch to my bed...

When : a Friday night.. yea it may be a sign I'm getting old ...eeeek!!!!

So instead of seeing if people wanted to hang out I am writing to my invisible audience. I think that's a great accomplishment compared to just sleeping :p

So many things to do but I need to put it off until tomorrow. Yea I'm definitely procrastinating but at the same time I need to get at least more than a couple hours of sleep.. maybe enough to at least breathe properly Haha. I cant wait to get my art and photos up properly and maybe some of my own music creations too...well lets see how it goes first.

Fast -paced life. Fast-paced world.

I guess I need to refresh my html skills because with the lack of time, I wanted to prepare everything online in the simplest manner for all of you. Indeed I always encounter difficulties!

I have had to delete and postpone some of my posts due to some glitches. I'm constantly moving or having my time interrupted so everything becomes broken down into pieces. I always feel like I'm catching up or not have enough time to finish anything. So ultimately stick with me until I get a full revamp. But hey... not bad for doing all this without my computer :)

Currently, this song fits so perfectly with my mood right now---Comes and goes (in waves) by - Greg Laswell. It's the perfect song for trying to figure things out or being in that state of mind where nothing is consistent and even making ends meet.

Mr. Man...

Sun shining and breeze blowing, no wonder there were so many people out today. Traffic was crazy! But why oh why, Mr.convertable man, must u drive so comfortably obeying the laws? Must you have your top down and speak through bluetooth so that all of us frustrated drivers have to listen to your conversation?? Luckily there was a song that I liked on and I blasted the tune so that i wouldn't have to hear what ever kind of argument he was having with his supposed wife. If I was a nosey person I guess it would be quite entertaining or maybe if I was also in my 50s I would think, 'hey there might be a possibility ' ...but unfortunately I'm not. Haha.

All in all, I'm not annoyed or bothered by it like it seems. It does make me wonder though... is there such a thing as too much openness? I'm thinking this man really has nothing to hide and he gets to enjoy the weather with the top of his jaguar down. He looked content and possibly high since he was wearing very dark shades.-wink wink -

In salute to the convertable and the man inside it, I believe transformation is the key. It doesn't matter what people think or what they say. Just be who you want to be and bliss will come. Who knew obeying the laws of speed limits and hand held devices could make one so comfortable :)
