Holiday Sparkle

Ever have one of those days when is hard to find the sparkle inside? It's been a rough couple of days but today has proven to be most difficult. Sometimes dreaming can make this worse and thinking what could be or what has happened just gets in the way of moving forward, but remember there is always a star that shines bright in all of us... we just gotta find it.

Lights are up and people are either happy with joy or down with their luck every winter season. It's hard to find those just muddling in between, or perhaps they're everywhere and people are too busy to notice. It's all about making time. It's about making sure that we don't forget about the little things and the people or the parts in our lives that add meaning. Sometimes finding that sparkle and creating it around you will make a big difference and an even more gratifying outcome than searching for it in places that don't exist. We only have control over ourselves and with our own spark, you can make anything shine bright!

I took some much needed love for myself and took 2 of my beloved nail polishes and layered them together. I found the best way to do this is by first applying the glitter coats then applying confetti on top. The mix of glitter and large confetti helps the glow from any angle. Also make sure that the two colors enhance each other but are not the same. The glitter pieces are very fine and pink while the confetti pieces are bold and bright gold. Most importantly, have fun with your creations!

Take the smallest time and make an effort for the little things that maybe we forgot were a part of our daily lives. Be your own light and others will follow in your footsteps. It all starts within ourselves.

Shine bright Mee Lovelies!

Doctors for Christmas

' Tis the season to do more than be greedy this holiday season.

Right: Dr. Marten's

The countdown is on and i will be getting hip surgery in a couple of weeks but also so Christmas nearing. I will be donating my Dr. Martens above and a few more items for those who do not have the necessities this holiday season. With all the glitz and glam that surrounds us sometimes it's easy to forget there are others with less than what we have.

Let's try to give back and spread the movement! Sometimes all you need is to give love in order to receive it. Send it share it spread it. Infect the world with love!

Crushin' Winter

While working on some undergoing projects, i had trouble focusing today. I put on my favorite bits and proceeded to mentally wash everything away.

Above are some of my darker pieces: the one on the right is vintage and the other from forever21. I'm a big believer in being able to find or create affordable items without sacrificing personal style.

Whenever we find ourselves in a rut or bombarded by white noise, why not take the little things in life we enjoy and the inspiration it takes for us to move forward on our own path? Each day is journey... why not stylize it?

What themes do you find yourself going for this winter?

Insta Gratify Mee

Sunday funday continues through instagram's immediate positive reinforcement to gratify all my desires. I'm a late bloomer of instagram and sad to say I've succumb to all it has to offer, especially for those who are decent enough to do the right thing by citing their sources. All in all it has served as a gigantic mood board of life that represents what @eternallymee is all about.

Here are the best of this week's inspiration in case anyone missed them :

Thanks Holidaze

Although there's a bit of rough patch for me this year, I've never been so thankful this holiday season as i am today. I am so grateful to be in a healthier mind state and feel so much more emotionally balanced. I think this has a lot to do with how I really tried to work on myself this year. I feel like I've been transported to an entirely different place..a place where i know myself enough to be happy about having friends that support me and loved ones that care. Although it doesn't feel like it at times, I'm more of a loner so it helps to make time and space for me and loved ones when appropriate.

Going through this changing process really helped me make my own path and the sense of freedom is greater than i imagined. I'm willing to let go and move on, I'm willing to live and be loved and express all this for those who will listen. Each day is precious. It doesn't matter all the negatives we constantly hear around us. Let's use that to our advantage and grow as people. I found that by giving love to myself i was able to find love in others.

I was suppose to recycle that wonderful pastry box above, but felt it was so artistic to even let go... just for now. It's my little inspiration for today to keep me balanced. Smiles!!

I was also blessed with more cheer stemming from french baguettes and dark chocolate shared by my sister's heart warming attempt to win me over and my mom's love of french style cuisine.

The day is not over and i wish i wasn't feeling so drained already, but I'm still going to strive to keep this positive outlook going far and beyond. Let's spread the love by being thankful for the little things and even for the people we have trouble with for those are the ones that will really make us learn more about ourselves so that we can be geared in the right direction.

Happy happy thanks!!!!

O Camo My Camo

I really wish it were warm enough to wear this and I'm pretty sure i could add some leg wear and a long sweater or coat i could but unfortunately I'm cleaning things up so that i can have front row access to my sweats for after joint surgery.

I'll be limited in terms of my posts here but hopefully I'll keep my instagram updated so follow me there @eternallymee !!!

I hope u join me for my journey and I'll be updating u on further projects soon so stay tuned! This camo bag will probably make several appearances this year as i will most likely use it for the hospital for the extra cargo pockets on the side. I love pockets!

DIY Calendars

Since the majority of people today use handheld mobile devices and paperless materials, the use of papered calenders is diminishing quite a bit. So instead of going straight to the recycling bin with the old ones, why not use them as diy projects? For those with very little time like me but in need of somehow keeping something meaningful in a useful manner, i found that creating your own spot of inspiration with calendars truly helps. It's very easy and quick with just a snip of your scissors and you've got your own wall art to decorate your place.
